You can detect when you are unconsciously Choosing out of a Child Ego State by Noticing that you Assume that you have no other option about where to choose from. This feels like the 'safest' perspective to choose from.
You think your disempowered status as a Child is true and valid, no matter how old you are.
You assume that others are better at making choices for you than you are, secretly holding onto the chance for resentment and revenge. Your secret weapon is to complain and blame the person or institution who 'made the choice for you' about making a 'bad' choice.
But the fact is, no one can ever make a choice for you.
It is always and only you making the choices in your life, regardless of your circumstances.
The greatest powers that a child can have are to complain, to blame, to try to get revenge.
These are the only so-called 'powers' allotted to 'Victims'.
But in reality, it is impossible to be a 'Victim'.
Regarding yourself as a 'Victim' and behaving as if you have been 'Victimized' is 'C Grade' theater.
You always have other options to choose from even if you cannot see the additional options due to your enthusiasm of playing out your 'Victim' role.
You can detect when you are unconsciously making the choices of a Zombie when your Self Observation detects the subtle Fears driving you to unquestioningly make the same Assumptions and choices that you assume the other people around you are making.
Then you fit in.
Then you are one of the crowd.
Then you are acceptable to the others.
You cannot be singled out and ridiculed, punished, tortured, and killed.
Yes, your life is fake.
Yes, you cannot be yourself.
But this does not matter because you can use substances to suppress your emotions.
Day in and day out you remain in desperate survival tensions. But you do survive. Your Survival Strategy has worked. And you can watch TV drama series and feel like you fit in.
You Unconsciously Choose to adopt the Values of the Gameworlds that engulf you, without even asking what those Values are.
You don't even care if they are your Values. You survived.
You have become a Zombie.
You can detect if you are making conscious choices out of the Adult Ego State by Noticing if you are taking care that the burdens you carry are your fare share.
Adult Choosing makes sure you clean up your messes, do what you say you will do, keep your promises, and negotiate arrangements to handle the necessary responsibilities.
You communicate your wants and listen to the wants of others, trying to make the deals fair and equitable.
You can detect if you are making conscious choices out of the Archetypal Ego State by Noticing that you do not care if the outcome is Fair or Unfair. The fairness or unfairness is not blocked from your awareness. It simply does not matter because you are Choosing for other Purposes.
If you DO NOTHAVE enough Distinctions in your Being to Consciously Feel the pain of the consequences of your choices, then you doom yourself to NOTHAVING choice about NOT creating Low Drama. In this case, your Gremlin would feel irresponsibly happy - and even proud - about arranging this. (Beware when your Gremlin starts feeling happy and proud...)

Every time you make a choice that is not your usual kind of choice, you open up a new future for yourself, and possibly also for others. However, making new kinds of choices requires consciously cleaning away your resistances to such powerful change experiences. Some resistances are obvious, the fear of change, for example, the fear of not meeting other people's expectations, for another example. One resistance is especially difficult: 'Blinkers', which are the pieces of black leather or plastic sometimes put over horses eyes so they lose their side vision.
It is difficult to refuse to make a choice about something that you cannot see you could have a choice about. However, this is exactly what you do when you take a Position. Taking a Position (about an opinion, a belief, a 'need', a demand, etc.) is the equivalent of putting on Blinkers.
'Positionality' is when you commit to a hard stand for, or against, something, and wall yourself into a non-negotiable rigidity.
Your Positionality tells the world that your defenses would have to be utterly compromised before you would change your mind. This is a 'life or death' matter, probably from the perspective of your Box and Gremlin.
Sometimes the Universe takes you up on your challenge and destroys you (financially, health-wise, relationship-wise, etc.) Many times the Universe leaves you to the karmic consequences of your Positionality and you learn about it the long, hard, slow, painful way.
Unconsciously you are intentionally ignoring so many choices that you could make due to your Unconscious Positionality. You are probably unconsciously but intentionally ignoring your choice:
to run for Mayor of your town.
to stop paying taxes to the government.
to participate in Expand The Box training and 10 Possibility Labs during the next three years.
to stop everything inauthentic in your life and to StartOver.xyz, for example, by walking from Vancouver to Cabo San Lucas.
This Experiment is for the next 3 days, to CONSCIOUSLY take a position about NOT Choosing something so as to experience how the mechanism looks and feels from the inside. For example, when someone asks if you would like a glass of water, you take the Position to NOT CHOOSE about this. You say something like, "I absolutely refuse to choose whether to have a glass of water or not!" (If they ask you about the insanity of this, tell them you have become an Experimenter and you are doing an Experiment to learn about Positionality.) Or if the choice is about putting your shoes on or not, or what to buy at the market, or when to wash the dishes, or which shirt to wear, take the Position NOT to Choose, and follow the rigid sensations back to their source of stubbornness to find out what is going on in there. Write what you learn in your Experiments down in your Beep! Book.
Choose To Split Your Attention For Choosing

(IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not do this Experiment while driving.)
This Experiment has three Phases. Do the first Phase for one day, the second Phase the second day, the third Phase the third day. To start with, Notice your Attention. Notice that you have Attention, and that you can move it from one place to another place. You can put your Attention on one thing or on another thing, either inside of you or outside of you.
PHASE ONE: PLACE YOUR ATTENTION
Today, practice consciously moving your attention 5 times from an ink dot that you make on your finger to one particular object around you: for example, a doorknob, a stone, a knot in the wood, a leaf on a plant, a speck of dirt on the floor. Place your attention on that one object for 20 seconds, then move your attention to your finger dot for 20 seconds, then move your attention to a different object for 20 seconds, then back to your finger dot for 20 seconds, and so on. Move your attention and hold your attention like this for 3 minutes each time. Do this Attention Process 5 times today. (NOTE: It can be very useful for building your Attention muscles to do this Exercise once or twice a day for several months, but not while driving.)
PHASE TWO: SPLIT YOUR ATTENTION 3 WAYS
Today, practice Splitting Your Attention at least 3 ways, and consciously holding it Split.
(Do NOT do this while driving or using heavy machinery or electric cutting tools!)
Use three different senses at the same time.
For example, Split Your Attention to hear the traffic noises outside, feel the pressure of the chair on your butt, and remember what you had for dinner last night.
Or, walk by putting your feet one after the other on an imagined line in the path, sing the words to a song, and smell the trees and flowers in the air.
Or, blow bubbles with your chewing gum, make a shopping list for tomorrow, and stretch the muscles in your lower back and shoulders.
Hold this 3 Way Attention Splitting for 3 minutes each time for at least 5 times today.
PHASE THREE: PUT YOU ATTENTION ON YOUR POWER OF CHOOSING, ON YOUR FUTURE, AND ON THE CHOICE YOU NEED TO MAKE NOW
Today you will consciously Split Your Attention in 3 ways each time you need to make a Choice.
True Choices occur simultaneously in all 5 Bodies, not only in your mind. Choices made in your mind are called 'Decisions', and they are merely intellectual. A Decision does not change who you are. A Choice changes the shape of your Being and thus who you are and your relationship with the Universe. In the next 3 seconds, Split Your Attention and do the following 3 things (as much as you can at the same time):
1.Center yourself. Place 20% of your Attention on your Energetic Center that is placed on your Physical Center to be Centered. This is putting your attention on 'you', on the non-intellectual 5-Body intelligence where you make true Choices.
2. Place another 20% of your Attention on the future you want to create that will come into existence during the Small NOW moment you make your Choice.
3. Place another 20% of your Attention on speaking out your Choice. It may feel strange because your mind will not usually know what the Choice is that you are going to make or what you will say next.
(NOTE: Use the remaining 40% of your attention to read, speak, look around, stay connect with people, sit, stand, listen, breathe, Notice things around you, etc.)
Voila! Your Choice is made. You Split Your Attention 3 ways and let your 5 Bodies make your Choice. As soon as your Choice is made, move into it, and make your next Choice.
As you do this Experiment more and more often, you will begin to radically trust your Choice Creating skills.
Choose To Observe Yourself While Choosing

This Experiment is to use your Beep! Book to document in writing the procedure you use to make 5 different Choices today.
Start by titling a new Beep! Book page: MY PRESENT CHOOSING TECHNOLOGY.
You will not know which choices you will be Choosing to document, whether it is choosing when to get out of bed, what you will say in a meeting today, who to call at what time or in what order, how to re-negotiate a previous agreement, etc.
Keep your Beep! Book at the ready. In the instant you are faced with needing to Choose, Split off 30% of Your Attention for Self Observation and write down all the particulars of your Choice making procedure as possible, while using the rest of your Attention to do the Choosing.
REMEMBER:Self Observation is only Self Observation if it isRADICALLY NEUTRAL.
'Radically Neutral' means there is no meaning attached to what you observe. No criticism, no self-hatred, no self-assessment, no self-judgement, no embarrassment, no self-abusive stories about how sly or stupid you are being.
Self Observation is about noting ALL the levels and purposes and details of what matters to you and what you ignore, in this case, when you make a Choice. For example, are you using:
Logic or silliness (Whose logic? Whose silliness?)
Fantasy worlds? (From how old? What Purpose do they serve?)
Are you serving a conscious or unconscious Purpose?
Write your Self Observations completely down for 5 different Choices you make, no matter how 'important' or 'pointless' your Choices are. What is relevant, is to slow down your Choosing procedure enough that you can Observe it and write down each step.
At the end of the day, or even the next day, review your 5 Choosing Experiments to see what is similar about them and what is different.
Distill your Choice Making Technology down into one simple sentence.
Be amazed about it.

The internal resources are the Feelings and Emotions themselves that arise from 1% intensity to 100% intensity and shift organically and abundantly around in you from moment to moment.

This Experiment is during 3 days this week to begin and end each day with a Lowered Numbness Bar and use the incoming onslaught of energy and information to empower your Choosing.

You may need to carry around a packet of tissues for tears of sadness or fear, or a hand towel to strangle with two hands clenching from emerging anger.
Yes, it would definitely be useful to set a chime to ring each hour to remind yourself to check in with your busy self... or the day will be gone and you will have forgotten completely, for some reason...

There is more than one answer to every question. One standard method to block having more possible answers is to stop asking, thinking, and feeling after you get your first answer. Then the only choice you have is whether or not you follow your 'one and only' answer.
But if you continue thinking, continue asking, and listening for a bit longer you will get more possible answers, especially if you are a Possibilitator and can Speak From The Unknown. Then you will receive an almost endless stream of answers. Now you have a bigger problem. Which answer will you Choose?

Asking is self-invocation. What this means is that both the quality and purpose of the questions you ask (or avoid asking...) and the answers you have shaped your listening to be able to hear, determine much of the quality of your life.
This Experiment is to Team up and ignite the transformational questioner in each other. Grab one or two fellow adventurers and head out on a Question Asking Quest. Especially ask your Questions:
Even if the answers might be scary.
Even if the answers might be unimaginable to imagine.
Keep your Grounding Cord locked to the center of Gaia because your Grounding Cord conducts energy and information in both directions (from you to Gaia and from Gaia to you) and Gaia may have some interesting answers for you.
You breathe, you ask (making sure your Question lands in all 4 corners of the Space), and you listen, with all 5 Bodies.
Question-asking is an art-form. For example, you can navigate what is possible by asking questions the answers to which do not exist in the current space
Document your Question path so others can make use of your good fortune. Possibility Management is the kind of treasure that grows by giving it away. Ask yourselves:
How proficient are we at giving away valuable treasure?
How could we improve that?
When you wrestle with a question it changes your shape. You become the question you wrestle with. The Universe responds to your new shape. But when a question gets answered, the answer kills the question. Your quest suddenly changes into finding your next good question to wrestle with.
